Nicole Álvarez Espada is a versatile creative from New York City. She started the fine jewelry brand, Botánica Studios in 2012. In 2015, Nic began styling music artists before making the full transition to Film/TV. Since the inception of her career in costumes, Nic has found a medium where she can both style and create unique designs for scenes on the big and small screen.

After six years in the film industry, she is now writing and directing her own films. Her upbringing combined with my interest in social justice have inspired her first film, about three generations of a Puerto Rican family who in the face of economic hardship, systemic oppression, and the weight of negative stereotypes, must discover their own paths to resilience, identity, and a deep-rooted commitment to liberation.
